Privacy Policy

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) uses third-party software (Setmore) to manage the Embassy's appointments.  Your personal information (including your name and contact details) will be collected by DFAT via Setmore to book your appointment and for related purposes.  By proceeding with this booking, you are consenting to the collection of this information by Setmore on DFAT's behalf for these purposes.  If this information is not collected, DFAT's ability to arrange your appointment will be limited.  Your personal information will be handled by Setmore in accordance with Setmore's Privacy Policy, and by DFAT in accordance with DFAT's Privacy Policy.

Application for an Australian Passport - Overseas

If you are an Australian citizen living or currently staying in Israel and require an Australian passport, you can either complete and print an online application form or request a blank application form to be mailed to you.

Passport Photo Requirements - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

Size of Head in Photo must be between 32-36 mm from top of head (crown) to chin

Mouths must be closed (neutral expression - no smiles)

Edges of face must be visible

Look straight at camera

Background must be plain

Parent's hands should not be visible in photos of babies

It is preferable that client's wearing glasses remove them as the reflection of the flash can cause problems preventing the eyes from being clearly seen

No head coverings (except for religious purposes)

1. Online Application Form - RENEWAL of an Australian Passport

A simple renewal form (PC7) can be used if:

  • your most recently issued adult passport was issued after 1st July 2000 and; 
     
  • was valid for more than 2 years
  • was issued in your current name, date of birth and sex
  • has not been reported as lost/stolen.

First time adult applicants (over 18 years)  can lodge a renewal form (PC7) if:

  • they were issued a passport as a child after 1st July 2005; and
  • were 16 years of age or over at the time of issue; and
  • the passport was issued with at least two years validity; and
  • the passport was issued in the applicant\'s current name, date of birth and sex.
