Australia's National Innovation and Science Agenda

Innovation is at the heart of a strong economy—from IT to healthcare, defence and transport—it keeps countries like Australia competitive, at the cutting edge, creates jobs and maintains our high standard of living.

It’s not just about new ideas, products and business models; innovation is also about creating a culture where we embrace risk, move quickly to back good ideas and learn from mistakes.

Find out more about the Australian Government's new National Innovation and Science Agenda here, or watch the below video from the Australian Prime Minister, the Hon Malcolm Turnbull MP.

New 'Landing Pad' to be established in Israel

As part of Australia's National Innovation and Science Agenda, five landing pads for Australian start-up entrepreneurs will be established in global innovation hotspots.  Israel, the 'Start-Up Nation', was the obvious first choice of location for the Australian Government's new initiative to be announced.

Read a statement on the landing pads - and Israel - from Australia's Minister for Industry, Innovation and Science, the Hon Christopher Pyne MP.
