Important information for 16 and 17-year-old applicants and applicants who have lost their previous passport

Applicants aged 16 or 17 who are applying for their first adult passport and applicants who have lost their previous passport will be required to attend an interview before a full-validity passport can be issued.

Where an applicant cannot attend an interview in person, they may be considered for a 12-month Limited Validity Passport (LVP). The LVP may be upgraded to a full-validity passport if the passport holder attends an Australian Embassy, Consulate, High Commission or Australian Passport Office before the LVP expires.

If you are not eligible for the digital upload service, or require assistance with your passport application, please contact the Australian Embassy in Tel Aviv by email at [email protected] or by telephone on +972 3 693 5000 or visit https://www.passports.gov.au/
